WHAT?
This is a behavioural study about how we perceive our own body. During the experiment, you will lie
on an examination bed. Two small video screens mounted on a headset (so-called "virtual reality
goggles") will be placed in front of your eyes. You will see a mannequin leg, arm, and torso being
touched with small round objects for about two minutes. At the same time, your real body will be
touched with the same objects.
You will then fill out a short questionnaire on a laptop, where you rate your experiences. The
questionnaire consists of a series of statements about possible experiences that you rate on a
seven-point scale. This procedure is repeated 15 times and takes about 50 minutes in total.
