Av sophie okane Skapad: 2022-03-19

Hello! We are looking for healthy volunteers who would like to participate in a study that aims to increase our understanding of how the brain creates the experience of its own body. Taking part involves a single two hour session. In the session, we will take pictures of your brain using MRI (approximately one hour of scanning), as you watch movies of a mannequin’s body in virtual reality and receive touches to your real body.

You will be compensated with 600 SEK (taxable) for your participation.

Who?
To participate in the study, you must be:
• between 18 and 50 years old
• right-handed
• fluent in English
• have not previously participated in an experiment with body illusions
• have no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders
• not currently taking medication that affects cognitive functioning
• not have any metal objects in your body

Where?
The MR Research Centre at the Karolinska Hospital, Solna.

When?
To book an appointment, or if you have any questions about the study, register and I will be in touch as soon as I can!

Thank you!
