Consciousness and Body Perception Study (KI Solna)

We are looking for healthy volunteers who would like to participate in a study that explores how we perceive our bodies as our own, and how this innate perception enters our conscious experience. The study involves natural perceptual illusions induced by light touches on your hand (applied with soft rubber objects) whilst looking at other objects nearby. The tasks that you will perform involve describing different qualities of your perceptual experience. The study takes around 2 hours and you will be compensated 150 SEK per hour (taxable).

Requirements:
To participate, you have to fulfill the following criteria:
- Be between 18 and 45 years of age.
- Fluent in English
- Have no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders
- Not be currently taking medication that affects cognitive functioning

The study takes place in the department of neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet, campus Solna.
