Hi!
We are looking for healthy participants to take part in a study with the electroencephalogram (EEG)
that aims to understand how touch contributes to body perception. The experiment consists of two
sessions performed on the same day or in two different days. The first session lasts no more than
15/20 minutes and it is just a screening for the main experiment. If you pass the screening, the
second session lasts about 3 hours. You will be compensated with 660 SEK (before taxation) or one
cinema ticket in case you do not pass the screening as a thank you for your time!
Task
You will receive gentle touches on your right hand while your left index finger will be moved by a
robotic arm to touch a soft surface. You will answer some questions about the perception of the
touches (e.g., if the touches you received are synchronous as compared to the touches you gave)
Who?
To be eligible to participate you must:
- be right-handed
- be between the ages of 18-45 years old
- have no history of neurological, psychiatric, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- not currently be taking medication that affects cognitive functioning
- understand and speak English
- No dreadlocks
When?
Testing will take place in November, December 2023 and January 2024. To book an appointment, or if
you have any questions, please contact me
