We are looking for participants for the paid research study on the perception of touch. The study
consists of two experimental sessions done on separate days.
- Payment: 3 cinema tickets or 375 SEK
- What: An experiment investigating the perception of touch on your hand
- When: Many time slots to choose from
- Duration: 60 minutes (Session 1) and 90 minutes (Session 2)
- Where: Karolinska Institutet, Solna Campus (Biomedicum)
During the experiment, while moving your right hand, you will receive two weak forces on your left
index or ring finger and you will need to tell us which one feels stronger. You will need to wear a
blindfold in one of the sessions.
You will receive three cinema tickets or 375 SEK (taxable) for your participation. You need to have
a personal number to receive the payment (not required for cinema tickets).
We are looking for participants with the following requirements:
- 18-40 years old
- Right-handed
- Normal vision or corrected to normal with lenses or glasses
- No current or history of psychological or neurological conditions
- You are not taking any psychoactive drugs or medication
- You understand basic English
- You have not participated in our previous force experiments
