Behavioural Study on Self-perception

What? This is a behavioural experiment about how we perceive our own body. We use robot arms to touch your hand and one rubber hand lightly, and it is totally safe. Your task is to report how you feel about the rubber hand. This experiment includes two parts: a pretest part and the main part. It will last approximately 2 hours in total. Not all participants experience the rubber hand illusion in the way required to proceed with further testing, so if you are one of those individuals, your participation will end after the pre-test.

Who? To participate in our experiment, you must meet the following criteria:
• In good health. You are not taking any medicine.
• Between 18 and 40 years old
• No history of neurological or psychiatric illness
• No medications for such conditions
• Have not taken part in similar experiments
• Have a personal number or a coordination number
• Not employed by Karolinska Institutet. But KI students are OK.
And you need a bank account to get paid.

Compensation? For your participation in the study, you will receive 400 SEK for the pretest and the main experiment (taxable). If you only participate in the pre-test, you will receive 150 SEK or a movie ticket (handed to you directly).
