Purpose
This study investigates how native speakers of South Swedish process word accents in the brain.

Participant criteria
(1) native speaker of South Swedish
(2) 18-40 years old
(3) right-handed
(4) no known neurological disorders (e.g., no previous history of a stroke, epilepsy)
(5) no metal implants and clips in the body
(6) no claustrophobia

Tasks
Participants will listen to some Swedish words and give responses based on the experimental instructions.

Experiment time
About 4.5 hours
(1 hour in the scanner + 3.5 hours offline tasks outside of the scanner)

Participant fee
135 SEK/hour before tax (will be paid via payroll office at Lund University).

Location
Centre for Languages and Literature (SOL) at Lund University &
the national 7T facility at the Skåne university hospital.
