Behavioural experiment on somatosensory perception

Take Part in a Research Study investigating Touch!

We are looking for healthy participants to join a behavioural study investigating touch perception.

💡What does participation involve?
You will take part in a 1.5 h behavioural experiment.
You will be compensated with two cinema tickets or 225 SEK.

👤 What will you do?
- First, you will answer a short questionnaire to assess your hand dominance.

During the behavioural experiment:
- You will receive two taps on your index or middle finger.
- You will either keep the right hand unmoved, or will lightly press a sensor with your right index or middle fingers at a time.
- You’ll answer a simple force discrimination question about the perception of the touches, and the location of the touch.

✅ Who can participate?
To take part, you must:
- Be 18–40 years old
- Have no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders nor should you be taking any medication to treat such conditions
- Have normal eyesight or corrected with glasses/contact lenses
- Have not participated in our previous force discrimination experiments
- Understand and speak English
