Take Part in a Brain Research Study!
We are looking for healthy participants to join an EEG (electroencephalogram) study investigating
how touch contributes to body perception.
📅 What does participation involve?
You will take part in two sessions on separate days:
Session 1: A screening session to determine your eligibility. If eligible, you’ll immediately
proceed to the first EEG session (approx. 2.5 hours).
Session 2: The second EEG session (approx. 2 hours).
You will be compensated with 660 SEK (before tax) or a cinema ticket if you do not pass the
screening — as a thank-you for your time!
🖐 What will you do?
During the EEG sessions:
You’ll receive gentle touches on your right hand.
Your left index finger will be moved by a robotic arm to touch a soft surface.
You’ll answer simple questions about your perception of the touches (e.g., whether the touches
felt synchronous).
✅ Who can participate?
To take part, you must:
Be 18–45 years old
Have no history of neurological, psychiatric, or neurodevelopmental disorders
Not be taking medication that affects cognitive function
Understand and speak English
Have the Swedish personal number
Not having dreadlocks (due to EEG cap limitations)
🗓 When?
Testing will take place throughout March, April and May 2026
