We are looking for healthy participants to join an EEG (electroencephalogram) study investigating
how touch contributes to body perception.
What does participation involve?
-You will take part in a single session of approximately 3-4 hours duration
-Within the first 15 minutes, you will complete a screening test to determine your eligibility. If
eligible, you’ll immediately proceed to the EEG session
-You will be compensated with *550Kr (150SEK/hr before tax) -or a cinema ticket if you do not pass
the screening- as a thank-you for your time!
🖐 What will you do?
During the EEG sessions:
-You'll wear a non-invasive EEG cap which measures the brain's electrical activity
-You’ll receive gentle touches on your right hand
-You'll see similar touches on prosthetic hands
-You’ll answer simple questions about your perception of the touches (e.g., whether the touches
felt synchronous)
✅ Who can participate?
To take part, you must:
-Be 18–45 years old
-Be right handed
-Have no history of neurological, psychiatric, or neurodevelopmental disorders
-Not be taking medication that affects cognitive function
-Understand and speak English
-Have a Swedish personal number
-Not have dreadlocks, large afro, or hair extensions (due to EEG cap limitations)
-For data quality and safety reasons, not have consumed alcohol or recreational substances within 24
hours before the session
📅 When?
Testing will take place throughout June, July, and August, 2026
